MANAGER, COMMUNITY AND CONTENT: THOMASNET AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT
OBJECTIVE: Responsible for defining, developing and managing a content strategy for ThomasNet's suite of online products to increase audience engagement and traffic. Commission original content ranging from magazine-like articles on market trends and current events to textbook like buying guides and need-to-know primer information from both a managed team of in-house writers and a network of SME freelancers. Establish, manage and execute all editorial processes, calendars, standards, guidelines and style guides. Recruit and manage a team of freelance journalists, bloggers and interns.
REQUIREMENTS: Min 5+ yrs online publishing exp; industry-or-engineering specific background a plus; strong teambuilding and collaboration skills; management exp a plus; Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing preferred. Deadline driven; multi-tasker; familiar with email deployment systems, website analytics, HTML, blog platforms; some SEO exp; strong research, writing, communication, editing and proofreading skills.
