Steve Smith of EContent Magazine's recent column focuses on what he found when he typed "sprocket," a popular product reference from The Jetsons cartoon into ThomasNet.com. "Everywhere you glance there is a possible action to take, another click that gets you closer to completing the purchase for your company."So impressed with the search results, he called ThomasNet "this brilliantly executed web-based directory/search engine/marketing machine."
Continuing on The Jetsons theme he said, "I am gushing like Spacely [Sprocket] over the ThomasNet engine because it embodies a term I am hearing more about than I am seeing in practice, 'workflow integration.' ...ThomasNet mirrors how buyers hunt for materials, distribute vendor lists, and request proposals."
