Award-Winning E-mail Campaign Brings Good Customers to ThomasNet.com...and Our Clients' Websites
Wednesday, October 19, 2005 - ThomasNet won a Gold Echo Award for Internet/Interactive Media in the Business & Consumer Services category at last night's DMA awards ceremony in Atlanta, GA.The award was presented for an innovative photo e-mail campaign, created in collaboration with True North Inc., for the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS).
Visitors to the ThomasNet booth at IMTS could have their picture taken with the custom-built ThomasNet.com Chopper and a life-size cardboard cutout of Paul Sr., the star of "American Choppers." The photos were sent out as customized e-mails to attendees after the show.
Presented by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), the ECHO Awards honor the year's best direct and interactive marketing campaigns. They are judged for creativity as well as the business results they achieved.
The results of this Gold award winning campaign:
- 85% of those who received their photo by e-mail downloaded their picture as a high resolution photo or as wallpaper for their computer. This keeps ThomasNet.com top of mind for all their industrial sourcing needs.
- 38% forwarded a copy of the photo to a friend. And in doing so their friend received an e-mail promoting ThomasNet.com.
